Marriage & Couples Counseling:

Most marriages and relationships can be “fixed.” By using the knowledge gained during counseling, and being consistent with practicing what you will learn, you will be able to come together and capture that special feeling that having a close relationship brings to your life.

I believe that combining compassion and common sense, with formal training and experience, is the most effective way to help couples handle the challenges that they face.

Marriage problems can be resolved by practicing new skills that you will learn in each meeting. Our goal is to bring you and your partner closer together, by learning:

  • Better communication skills
  • How to deal with anger
  • How to negotiate so that both of you feel good about the outcome

You will then have all the tools to build a strong connection and relationship with your significant other.

Professional Credentials

In addition to my 34 years of experience of Couples Counseling in New Jersey, I hold 2 Master’s Degrees, and I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist. I also have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Monday – Thursday: 1 pm – 9 pm (last appointment begins at 8pm)

Friday: 1 pm – 7 pm (last appointment begins at 7 pm)

Note – If you would like a particular time or day for your appointment, it helps to schedule two appointments at a time.

Dr. Marty’s Fees

Traditional Session $250 (50 minutes)

Jump Start Session $450 (100 minutes)

  • are at the brink of ending your relationship
  • can’t seem to have a discussion with your partner without it ending up in anger

Insurance

I would be considered an out of network provider, and reimbursement would be based on the terms of your policy. You would pay at time of service and you would then get a receipt to submit to your carrier.

Cancellation Policy

We discourage cancellations, but if due to an emergency situation we ask that clients please notify us, 48 hours prior to their appointment, if they need to change or cancel it.

Best time to reach Dr. Marty: Of course, you can call 24/7 and leave a message. Oftentimes Monday – Friday, Dr. Marty will pick up the phone himself. The best time to reach him directly is often 11 am – 12 pm (before his first appointment).
