It is clear from what I see in my practice, that in addition to the children and adults in Newtown Connecticut, this tragedy has affected all of us deeply. The second tragedy would be not getting help for the people who have been emotionally damaged as a result of direct exposure  and indirect secondary exposure to this atrocity.
